To be honest, in this part of the world we just have 2 seasons, Dry season and Raining Season, but that doesn’t stop us at Buifabrics HQ from salivating over the Spring/Summer Runway looks from some of our fave foreign designers. Let’s take a look at some of the trends we loved from Paris, Millian, London, and Newyork Spring/Summer 2022 Collections.
1. Bridal Vibes
Even if saying “I do” isn’t on your 2022 in agenda, that doesn’t mean you can’t show up and show off in an all white ensemble at any party or soiree. White was seen on the runways of Zuhair Murad, Elie Saab, and more. The colour made the gowns look even more dreamy and exquisite. We loved every look.
2. The Bigger The Better
Some little girls including myself, had dreams of becoming a premier ballerina when we grew up and the custom of choice was a Tutu dress. These dresses were made with Tulle fabric. It seems Oscar De La Renta, Giambattista Valli and Monique Lhuillier to mention a few helped us former dream girls relive our childhood fantasies by incorporating whimsical voluminous dresses made of tulle fabric into their Spring Summer 2022 collections. The fabric gave their creations volume, and the variety of beautiful colors as seen on the runway gave their creations a more breathtaking appeal. Its safe to say that tulle finds its true power in pure volume.
3. Pink Effect
Shades of pink and red strutted the runway of some of our fave designers for Spring /Summer 2022 collections. Unquestionably “pink is the new red”. Subtle and loud shades of pink dominated Elie Saab’s collection. The color expressed femininity and the use of tulle, feathers, and lush satin added a truly beautiful touch. Its giving a flamingo vibe.
